TV is rapidly changing and advertisers must adapt by accelerating their transition to streaming TV in order to effectively reach and amplify awareness across all screens.
The ZypTV demand-side platform (DSP) was purpose-built to address the unique requirements and complexities of local, programmatic advertising. With an emphasis on premium OTT content and applications, ZypTV helps media companies connect advertisers with their local audiences efficiently and measurably to complement their local media marketing.
Since rooming together at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Aman & Raman have been collaborating together on various technical projects. In the early days, Aman built a DSP from the ground up for three different companies, generating millions of dollars in revenue in the first year of his first DSP. Raman was working on starting his own company in Chicago after quitting his job at a high frequency trading firm.
After re-connecting with Aman casually at a restaurant in San Francisco, they saw an opportunity to create a low-latency, highly scalable ad platform given Raman’s experience architecting software that traded millions of dollars in microseconds.
Since Aman and Raman have joined forces, they have founded two companies together – first, an RTB bidder as a service, and next, ZypTV (formerly ExtendTV & ZypMedia).
The pair discovered that the local market was underserved in the digital arena, and began to help local media companies realize the importance of digital as the world began to shift from traditional broadcast print and radio advertising to all things digital. They built all the ZypTV technology from the ground up with an early seed funding round from USVP. ZypTV has grown from “two guys in a garage”, to a global team scaling an innovative platform that’s disrupting local advertising.
